Primative eight mile road leading me out of the Smokies

More than once I thought I would be hiking out of this road. The road turned into a muddy monster 1 mile in with steep uphill curves and six inch ruts. I had to maintain speed while ascending and swerving to avoid the holes. Bottomed out twice. After the first mile there was no turning back the way I came! I think my snowtires saved the day. The eight miles took one hour.
